It's Signing Time!

It was so nice to meet Rachel and Aaron Coleman of "Signing Time". That program has been a part of our household for the last 10 years. Wow! What talent, heart and passion they bring to every sign and song. It is a family effort, with Emily, little Aaron and Lex involved. It was a real pleasure working with them!

I really appreciate the referral by my friend- the fantastic makeup artist, Sherry Drabner.

Magazine Shoot with Ty Burrell

I was SO excited to get a call from Wendy Redfern from "Under the Radar" magazine for a shoot with Ty Burrell. I was referred to her by Jenn Clyde, a lovely fashion stylist here in Utah, and several awesome friends.

We are BIG fans of "Modern Family" at our house, so my family was possibly more excited than me :)

The funny part about the shoot is that Ty was to dress as Joni Mitchell- a sort of comedian vs musician spread. The photos were based on famous Joni Mitchell album covers This was made even funnier because Ty had pretty good facial hair going.

The wig was brought in by the photographer and, I must say... it had a mind of it's own. Ty was a great sport as I wrangled the wig and tried to straighten and get stray hairs out of his face.

Ty was so kind and cool. He asked about my family and work. He shared a little about his family too.

I have had the opportunity to work with Kera Thompson a couple of times this summer. She is one of those people who lights up a room.

While filming on location for Chris Jensen Creative and TAIslim, Chris snapped a few candid pictures of Kera while the crew was setting up her video shot. I am pretty sure she does not take a bad picture and Chris really captured a nice shot of her.

Glenn Beck's American Revival

I was so happy to get a call from Glenn's staff to do the stage speaker's makeup at his

American Revival event in Salt Lake City on July 17th.

Everyone was so kind and I even got to watch most of the show from a television in the green room. Glenn has a great staff and wonderful speakers he brought in for the event.

Mrs. Utah USA Contestant Heather Holker

I have had the opportunity of doing make and hair for the lovely, Heather Holker. She was referred to me by our mutual friend, Meredith.

Heather is in the Mrs. Utah USA pageant this weeked, June 25-26, 2010 in Provo, Utah.

Heather is a beautiful woman on the inside and out, it has been so fun getting to know her. She has a passion for health and fitness and her pageant platform is diabetes prevention.

Heather is also mom to two sweet little girls and a devoted wife to Marty. He is crazy about her!

waiFIT Shoot

I just returned from a fantastic trip to Boca Raton, Florida with Waiora Global. I was hired to consult and style the waiFIT Challenge winners. Having worked with Waiora previously with production company, Chris Jensen Creative, I was delighted to be called for this project.

I met the winners in Orlando in March and got to know then a bit, as well as took their measurements. I then came back to Utah to design a look and shop for each of them. While on location in Boca we stayed at the beautiful Boca Beach Club Resort and shot video and photography there. The clothing looked great on camera and everyone was happy with the clothing they got to keep.

I did makeup, hair and styled the clothing on set and had a great time with each of the winners: David, Alecia, Suzanne, Carl and Mark.

We worked hard and had a lot of fun. I am so excited to see the finished images and video to highlight the waiFIT Program and the waiFIT Challenge winners.

I worked with Chris and Ryan of Chris Jensen Creative on the crew. Chris is always so professional and great to work with and Ryan has such a easy going attitude, he is a pleasure to be around.

Waiora has a fantastic, dedicated management team with leader Eddie Stone. Robin developed the waiFIT product and organized the trip with many other great Waiora staffers. They made my stay in Florida so comfortable and my work so fun.

Glamour With a Hammer

I had the pleasure of meeting

Amber Anderson,

the "Fix-It Chick",

on a commerical shoot for the NEC Group's Home Show and Welti Call Agency.

Amber is not just a pretty face, she is the real deal- she can install a tile floor, fix the leaky faucet, you name it! I had a great time chatting with her and making some personal connections.

Also on the shoot was an adorable little girl and a really nice crew.

I had the opportunity to work for NuSkin, sponsor of the Jazz dancers. This ad was featured in the Utah Jazz program for the 2007-2008 season.

Kroger and Smith's Breast Cancer Campaign

I met Diane when I did her makeup for a photoshoot for Smith's and Kroger's Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. She was so kind and honest as she shared how her life has changed since she had cancer. I love my job because I often get to meet amazing, everyday heroes.

Diane's picture became a lifesize cardboard cut out displayed the month of October in

177 Smith's stores.

Also got to work with photographer Charlie Ehlert of Redwell Imaging. He was so upbeat and excited for the project, a pleasure to work with.

"I knew her when..."

I got to do makeup and hair for three tall, very thin young ladies who are headed for a big modeling agency in New York, DNA. Erin Olsen called on my services and I jumped at the chance to work with her, she is former model, current fashion stylist, photographer,

and now has an agency herself, Echo.

The girls were very sweet and made my job very easy by being so beautiful. It will be so fun to see where they go from here and say "I knew her when..."

Jenny Oaks Baker & Silverscreen Serenade

I had the funnest day at work I have ever had when I got to work with Jenny Oaks Baker. I am amazed I got paid to listen to beautiful music all day.

I was hired by Travis from Kineto Pictures to do hair and makeup for Jenny Oaks Baker. They were filming Jenny, as lead violinist, with an orchestra on stage for Jenny's album, Silverscreen Serenade. We taped the show twice for with two types of camera work, the second taping had a live audience. The finished product will be shown on BYU-TV.

Jenny had eight pieces of music, eight gown changes, eight hair changes plus jewelry, shoes, makeup touchups and changes. It was basically a live tv format, so everything was done quickly and with a second taping, hair and all had to have continuity.

Jenny was delightful and so beautiful. Her music was exquisite.
